Some rest for the Editors Weblog
Dear reader, dear editor,
It's time to take a break. Happy holidays and happy new year! We will come back beginning of January. And we will propose you our latest report, "TRENDS IN NEWSROOMS 2005". A 100 pages document which is, in fact, a synthesis of the 2,000 postings published in this one-year blog. A sort of Christmas gift!

Well Piers Morgan,
I hope for the rest of your life you will try and make amends for the serious harm that you have done to mankind by your greed and massive ego for allowing those pictures to be printed, not even knowing if they were the truth. You have no where to hide you are no better then a traitor. Just take a long hard look at the pictures of the young man that has been executed i for one will never forgive you or your lousey paper
I entirely second the previous posters comments; this matter has got me more worked up than I have been for a long-time, and it is absolutely correct that the likely-phoney-photos have already resulted in escalated problems on both sides, and clearly may have been a contributing factor to the recent execution of Nick Berg, although it is probably fair to say that the publication of the genuine photos of US abuse represented a more potent provocation.
Mr. Morgan is a man who has taken the gutter press to new lows, yet seems so proud and pleased with his achievements. How a UK national newspaper can publish information without even a semblance of due-diligence is very worrying, and it is no great surprise that the British media is now held in such low regard by the rest of the world's press.
How many chances will this editor get? All I can hope is that the British public will vote with their wallets and cease buying this rag, and TrinityMirror will have to get rid of him. I find it hard to believe he would have the decency to resign of his own accord and foresake the luxury lifestyle his champagne-socialist attitudes have thus-far afforded him.
